Second Chance Checking
If you’ve been reported to ChexSystems, we may be able to help. As long as you do not owe checking funds to another financial institution and there is no fraud involved, we would like to give you a second chance. Here's how it works:
1. Go to Balance and click on "Checking Account Management" to
take the online course on “Managing your Checking Account.”
2. Bring in (or mail) your certificate of completion, the $25 processing
fee, plus an opening deposit of $50 or more, and we’ll open your
Second Chance checking account.
3. If your account remains in good standing for six months, it will
automatically be converted to Total Access checking. If you’d rather
have a different account, just let us know.

If you do not have a computer, the course may be conducted over the phone by calling Balance at 888/ 456-2227.
Second Chance Checking is a non-dividend earning account.
Minimum Balance and Deposit Requirements - The minimum deposit required for you to open your Second Chance Checking Account is indicated on the Rate Schedule. The Second Chance checking account contains a monthly service fee as stated on the Schedule of Fees.
